I thought Africa is was a beutiful continet,but it is was recked by many wars.I
ReplyDeletethinck it was hard to survive back then.At least they made many discoveries for example the Australopithecus afarensis.they are the oldest hominid to be found.Another discovery is about the Homo Habilis.Next to the Homo Habilis was tools,it was believed that these people were the first tool makers,COOL!!!Finally,if there were money in the discoveries than the money should go to AFRICA!(=

I would like to add that Africa has so many people that many are poor and have no home. And some remote places in Africa do not have running water.

I wanted to make a connection with my mom.When she was small she was in El Salvador when the war occured. It is important to learn about Africa because you could know about interesting things that happen.

Joseph Garcia you made a brilliant analysis on many of the civil wars in Africa. Child soldiers are common in that part of the world. Often the reason injustices like that continue is because many people do not know what is happening in that part of the world.

Also Africa suffers alot because there is not a lot of food, bad water, and there is to much War going on.

ReplyDeleteI summarize what I have learned so far about Africa is that the Sierra Leone stared at 1991 and ended on 2002.I have never seen anthing that dangerous before!For example, I saw two pictures of a child when he was about 6 months old and another one when he was about 11 years old and in both pictures his hands were chopped of by the Rebals.I thought Africa was a betiful place with discoveries waiting for us.Looks like I was partly right and wrong.The reason why is because the war ended sooner than I thought. And also thought Africa was a peacful place.Thank you Mr.Garz for making me relize that a place or a person can suffur more than another.

I can't believe there was so much carnage. What the rebels did was wrong. It was wrong because taking more than 5 lives for 1 person is sad and making kids kill people is also sad. The song was pretty good. Still, the hotels in Africa look pretty cool.I glad homo erectus discovered fire because we would have cold,uncooked meat. That probley wouldn't taste very good.

In Africa 3 million years ago or even more there has been hominids living there and that is our main recourse. This is what i basically think about Africa.

I summarized from what i read was afric was a nice cotinent. but when the war started buldings are get on fire and people dieing.Kids are geting kidnap. ReplyDeleteI didn't know how interesting Africa was. I wasn't aware of all the things going on outside of my own country. I was shocked because of what these innocent kids went through. If I were there I wouldn't be able to take it. I didn't know how bad it was there. I wonder if the kids in the camp were able to run away. I wonder how long they will keep doing this to them. I would like to add that this is really sad because the people who got hurt or who died, especially the young ones that got hurt or who passed away didn't even get to have a life because of the war. There are cruel people in the world. I disagree with those people's behavior because it is wrong to treat people badly for no reason. Did they know any of these people? Did the people who got hurt or killed do anything to hurt them? What did these little children do to them to deserve that punishment? I understand that they have no money in their country, but I still wonder if there is something WE can do? Maybe we can get a bunch of food together and send it to them, or maybe send some friendly letters to let these people who have been hurt know that there are still good people in the world who do care about them.

They would kill the friends and say this will happen to you if you run. The rebels terrorized the towns so that they wouldn’t vote. They had coped off a two month olds leg. I’m very sad that so many people were killed but I’m happy that its over.

What I lerned from this artical is that there was a war between 1991-2002.The goverment vs rebals, a result to the curupted goverments.The rebals took children from there families to ues them as soldier for the war.Rebals cut off lims of some people and cut off a foot of a baby.It is important to know what is going on in africa beause what if they have another war.We dont want families to sufer.
